Ah, I found my problem -- I'm trying to use React v0.14 but am actually using React v0.13.3_7 because React is being provided to me by Meteor. This looks like an issue which Meteor needs to solve by upgrading their React library, nothing on your end. Thanks for making a great-looking library! I look forward to using it soon.

Running meteor update seems to update react to version 0.14.1_1. But there is no styling applied to / included with the component. There is some discussion on the topic here as well: https://forums.meteor.com/t/react-npm-components-with-css/12540
