Cancel functionality about jdeferred HOT 5 CLOSED

hiya - thanks for writing in! there isn't a cancelled state in Promises/A+ either. However, I'd consider cancellation as a rejection and look into wiring that up properly.

👍 I would also advice for a cancel method. The solution above is might not make sense since you cannot reject a promise, only a deferred. The cancel should be on the promise.

In addition, it would probably make sense to have a seperate callback as a rejection usually implies failure not user choice
