You could let your code read from file some of this type of informatio instead of hard-coding it into the script.

Currently error is produced if referenced field is empty in ORCID.

You could create a library of calls like these one per section on ORCID and allow parameters to set (select) the subset of section to render in the CV

ORCID does not provide a field for "Role" in a funded project (PI, Co-PI, Co-I, Fellow, etc.). This code a hack solution that is very specific to my current funding record and will not generalize, so it needs to be removed. I do not think we will be able to include a Role field in the automated CV.

read parameters from JSON file, for example:

• sections of the CV to render
• years of CV (activities) to render
• ORCID hash of user
• Etc
