gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-read_only_relocs’ about along32 HOT 2 OPEN

Hmm, I have to admit I've never, or don't remember, running that before now (but I just got the same error as you). That make target is part of the original Makefile meant for building on Linux. I didn't remove it in hopes that my changes in this repo would keep compatibility and add onto Along32 to be also buildable on macOS, but macOS is only where I have tested so far.

For now, just running make will build a file called libAlong32.a, which can be moved manually wherever you need and linked against. For me, this was good enough, and I added that file to my co-project MASM_OSX.

I think I didn't realize that you made the project for MacOS and I was trying to run the project on Linux. You probably should close this issue, or add a check that it's running on MacOS.
