I actually disabled log file writing a couple months ago when we were encountering the "too many files open" issues, in an attempt to reduce the number of files the pipeline opens. It's probably safe to re-enable it now as I think the core problem was at the OS level, and is related to the number of TFRecords there are in the training/evaluation sets. I don't think there is a way around that error apart from increasing the OS level limit, which is what we've done. So I'll add re-enabling logging to my todo list once I have a chance to make sure it doesn't raise any "too many files open" errors. — You are receiving this because you authored the thread.
