Let's ensure that you have the correct URL first. Make sure that you're visiting http://localhost:8080.

Thanks for the quick reply! I've just tried that and have reinstalled the software still google chrome cannot find local host 8080

Are you doing that on the Pi? If you want to access it on another computer, you'll need to use your Pi's IP address instead. You can find it (usually) by doing hostname -I on the terminal.

No I did thatt on my computer...When I boot up my pi's desktop midori comes up saying it can't find Local Host 8080.I tried entering the ip into Google and it can't find it...I can connect to the pi via ssh just fine and start pianobar and everything works that way.

Well if you want to access Pidora's web/mobile interface from another computer, you'll need to use the IP address of the Pi and not localhost. Since you're able to connect to the Pi via SSH you already have everything you need. Just use that IP address followed by the port number 8080.
