I'm not able to reproduce this, can you paste a section of compile_commands.json for a C++ file and for a C file?

Unfortunately I can't reproduce it myself. Since opening the issue I have re-indexed the project (using the same compile_commands.json) and now I can complete in C files too. I'll try to investigate this problem more when it reproduces. You can close the issue for now.

Sounds good, feel free to reopen. It could be possible that the querydb thread was busy when you were trying to complete.
