Hello.

Thanks for the suggestions. This commit has added the following:

  • A basic zoom feature. You can use the scroll wheel or pinch to zoom in and out. It's not perfect, but can be improved.
  • A method of collapsing the GUI. You can do this by clicking the top grey bar.

As for the font, this is a bit more complicated, but let me know if you have any specific thoughts on it. I generally don't want to make the gui too cluttered. Let me know what you think of the changes.

Thanks.

I guess I should have been more specific about the zoom. 😄 In my opinion, it should only zoom horizontally, otherwise when you zoom in, the foreground/"now" goes down out of frame, hiding the price range and leaving you looking at somewhere in the middle of the history:

Maybe "anchor" the graph at the bottom of the window/frame/pane, have it zoom horizontally-only with the mouse wheel, and upwards/vertically-only if you shift + mouse wheel. You'd probably want to cap it when the tallest wall at "now" reaches the height of the frame, though that would require the tool to automatically scale itself back down on occasion, if the tallest wall gets taller (I would not let it auto-scale back up if the wall shrinks, that would get confusing). Not sure how separate H/V zoom would translate to pinch-zoom situations.

The legend isn't quite right -- I suggested a leftwards collapse because the top edge of the legend is inaccessible when docked into aggr.trade -- your gray bar gets covered by aggr's pane title bar on mouseover:

As for fonts, I figured it could just be simple +/- buttons inside the legend. No need to change the font face or weight or even set a size by number, just step it up or down relative to whatever its default is.

OK I understand. Zooming is tricky because this is 3D and therefore you need to keep perspective in mind. Ideally you might want to group levels together but this would be a much more invasive change required order book aggregation that I do not have time to do. I can see however if I can adjust the existing zoom to emulate a sort of horizontal scale.

As for the GUI, I can move the bar to the left if you think it works better. Would that be ok?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Just a vertical/left-edge version of what you had.
