Feature: Ability to tag project or relate project when entering payments. about invoiceninja HOT 5 CLOSED

When receiving a payment an invoice has to be already there in the first place IIRC. This invoice has the project's relation already. So, why would you do that twice? Otherwise you would have a booking without a receipt.

Currently it looks like projects are just an internal thing for tracking expenses. I don't see any way to set up a relationship between a project and an invoice, either.

Working in an industry where everything is project related. All finances and accounting, funding and lending is secured on a per project basis. In addition to an invoice and a contract, each project is billed monthly and requires a Payment Application be submitted to the clients, which shows retainage, balance to completion, etc.

You need to open the settings tab within a new invoice

Ah ok. I see I should probably spend a little more time looking around the demo. I still need for stuff for projects (address and reports for instance) but if I can integrate with our own software using the api and relate them back to our projects this might work for our invoicing.
