I'll remove the substr line which will fix this, @checkitsedo can you provide some context for why the first char is always removed?

118 refers to the numbering only for previews.

Thank you for your quick response, yet the incorrect output remains the same when I send the invoice by mails, create a pdf, scan the qr code and perform a transaction.
The first digit/entry is removed in the reference number but appears correctly in the section additional information.

What is the first character of your invoicenumber?

Perhaps it is an illegal character that is getting cleaned by this?

I only use numeric input but I also played around with letters, I attached both scenarios.
