You can implement it like this:

  1. Pass functions to endpoint decorator
    @httpPost('/', authenticateToken(), authorizeUser(['administrator']))

  2. Function example

export const authenticateToken = (/* PARAMS HERE */) => {
  return async (req: Request, res: Response, next: NextFunction) => {
    const authHeader = req.headers.authorization;
    const token = authHeader && authHeader.split(' ')[1];

    if (!token) {

    }

    verify(token, process.env.ACCESS_TOKEN_SECRET, (error, user) => {

I don't think it's possible with BaseMiddleware, so that you have access to http context, right?
