No, turned out it wasn't.
Can you please provide an example? The tests are fine, so we need a proper corner case that will demonstrate the undesired behaviour.

Well, it's hard to do anything without a proper corner case or evidence of a bug as the existing tests work.
I'm closing now, but please reopen or open a new issue with an example so we can try to figure it out.
