Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console about octopress HOT 3 CLOSED

Hmm I don't know what that could be. I'm not an ubuntu user, so perhaps it's related to Serve. Can you try just running serve site in that session and seeing if you can hit localhost:4000 in the browser? If that doesn't work it may be a serve issue. If it does work, it could be something that I'm doing to track the PID for serve. That's really the only reason to run that rake task, it runs serve in daemon mode so you don't have to keep multiple consoles open.

I get the error with "rake preview" and "rake start_serve", "serve site" works fine:
