igGrid event binding with event-[event name] attribute not working about igniteui-angularjs HOT 3 CLOSED

I was very misleading in my example above. I have discovered that it does work as described when using the following:

<ig-grid data-source="payperiodModel" width="100%" height="400px" primary-key="id" auto-commit="false" auto-generate-columns="true" event-cell-click="cellClickHandler"> </ig-grid>

However, it does not work as:

<div data-ig-grid="gridOptions" id="grid1" event-cell-click="cellClickHandler()"></div>

from igniteui-angularjs.

Your observations are quite right, because this definition:

<div data-ig-grid="gridOptions" id="grid1" event-cell-click="cellClickHandler()"></div>

combines declarative options and scope(controller) options from gridOptions and those at least for now are mutually-exclusive. Which means the directive will take the gridOptions from scope with priority.

If you are using scope options you can just pass on the handler reference as per the Grid control API. Something like this:

$scope.gridOptions = {
    dataSource: $scope.payperiodModel,
    primaryKey: "id",
    //...
    cellClick: $scope.cellClickHandler,
    //...
};
