Not explicitly. You are controling the order with Datatables itself. Initially with attribute "order":, and later by ordering/sorting columns with mouse. Ordering is sent with post variables to Ignited and it is using order post variable and creating order_by db method with function: get_ordering()

yes i will try that, about adquiring a result of query like "SELECT * FROM TABLE WHERE ID=$VARIABLE ORDER BY $THIS, DESC" you said i will pass the the order variable from the js from datatables and just add ->get_ordering() in the datatables?

I guess i got it right, just checking

No any function call. Based on the posted Datatables variables, Ignited Datatable by itself would construct a equivalent db query with order_by for the columns that are clicked for sorting or for the initial order column.

yeah i know that i just thought that maybe there is a way to establish a preset on the first call.

you can sort the table on first call using the available funtion .order on the datatables library itself.

something like:
table.api().column(6).order('desc').draw();

i am closing this for now. =)
