python-memcached 1.51 fixes the previous breakage so pysaml2 now installs as well. linsomniac/python-memcached#6
It is still the case, though, that for the safety of your users, you should give identify versions of libraries that pysaml2 works with instead of using unversioned dependencies for exactly this reason: your library becomes uninstallable if the latest published version of a dependency is broken.
