  • Q. What do we really want to understand with longitudinal measures?

  • A. Do we get the consistent picture from different approaches?

  • If we look at the association using different statistical models, we can whether they paint a consistent picture (see @andkov dissertation for example of models (MLM, GMM, Markov )

  • We do not separate analyses by gender, but create height*age specific categorical gait variable.

  • some studies may not have sufficient subject that have a slow gait at baseline

  • we need to better understand the temporal structure for grip and gait in order to make decisions regarding

  • what journal do we have in mind? - Emiel: Dementia - Graciela: Gerontology

Actions items

  • @GracielaMuniz and @annierobi will propose several potential dates to meet in Montreal in February 2018.
  • Every participant will send it the Information regarding gait and grip measures:
    • What is the specific procedure of measurement?
    • What is number of people under a given threshold? (e.g. gait = .06). Please consult #3
    • If continuous, please provide descriptives (means, sd)
