It's a custom piece of script. You can adjust speed through a filter or overriding the function.

I'll get back to you. There's a bug preventing theme overrides from working at the moment.

ok so basically, you just copy and paste the function (any of the component functions) into your child theme and make your edits. what i would do is, put in a speed option and edit the speed called within the script and you're set.
