How to begin using your plugin about aesop-core HOT 9 CLOSED

Hi Sharen,
After activating the plugin you'll have a button next to the "Add Media" button in the post edit screen that reads "Add Component." From there you can add the component to your story.

This is a working beta, but beta means expect some bugs, and some things to change.

Hello there, i have some similar question and just wanted to know if that is engine related or something i didn't met by installing.

So, what i have after installing is the A in the dashboard where you can add new galleries and the ADD COMPONENT inside of the Post Post Type. But what i'm missing is the STORIES post type with Story Cover and Map Component Locations Meta Box as shown in the screenshot of http://aesopstories.com/story-engine/.

Do i have a failure or isn't that built in with the engine and theme related?

Ok, so you are saying that the 'Stories' Post button on theleft hand in the dashboard is nothing i missed within the plugin and instead it's part of the specific theme you used in your screenshot shown in http://aesopstories.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/ase-screenshot.png

Is that or similar function available then in your aesop theme http://nickhaskins.co/products/aesop/ ?
For that i'd like to go with your theme.

Right so, that last link, Aesop Theme, that is what started this whole thing. That is a theme that spurred the interest in all of this. It works wonderfully, but does require a parent theme Soren, which is offered for free ont eh site.

Since then, the main functionality of that theme, has been pulled out into the story engine.

The "Stories" tab, and the special stories layout, is available on the hosted version. One thing I didn't want to do with the plugin is alter WordPress admin, if you only wanted to use, say one of the components.

Yes that helped, saw Aesop month ago on your site searching for a gallery plugin and yes i can understand you. This one here will make you to the next level. Quite sure at least convinced that this kind of telling will change some things. Will contribute through crowdhoster. If i would had that money i really liked to go for Sponsor Elite but thats out of my horizont ;)

Ähm, forgot to ass. What do you mean by 'alter WP admin' ? Normally you change admin to a more secure account renaming that. Or do you mean the role itself?

Julian, I'm pretty sure he means "alter the admin interface" — for example by adding a "Stories" menu item.
