I encountered the same issue but haven't been able to resolve it. Could you please share how you managed to fix it?

1. Choose the new version of mmdet (the tool versions in my environment package are mmcv 2.1.0, mmdet 3.3.0, mmengine 0.10.3)

2. Use the new version of mm related packages to replace the old version packages (for example:
   from mmdet.models.builder import BACKBONES as det_BACKBONES （@det_BACKBONES.register_module()）
   from mmdet.utils import get_root_logger
   from mmcv.runner import _load_checkpoint
   Change to:
   from mmdet.registry import MODELS （@MODELS.register_module()）
   (comment, because there is no get_root_logger in the new version of mmdet.utils) from mmdet.utils import get_root_logger
   from mmengine.runner.checkpoint import _load_checkpoint
   ) @dibyaghosh @DogukanBG
