This problem may occur if you create a messaging identity while on main-net and then switch to test-net; or after a messaging identity was created the wallet.dat was changed; If such a change was made, the messaging identity can no longer be used.
To make the error go away you may temporarily rename directory %LOCALAPPDATA%/ZENCashSwingWalletUI/messaging - as long as you are on test net.

Newer versions of the wallet explain the problem to the user more clearly (in the terms I described), but still it is up to the user to take action to fix it.
