The dynamic map function gets called at EVERY point along a slider widget. I suspect the above code was working, but it was just calling Filigree WAY too many times and taking a long time to compute. Closing this.
The events triggered when moving the slider should be debounced however this breaks down a bit for long running callbacks. We should make it configurable whether to trigger events on every step or only when released.
