Q: Why do we need to multiply the volume term $\frac{m}{d_0}$ when calculating $\nabla C_j$?

const mVector3 grad_C_j = -(m / d0) * (*kernel).gradient(p_i - p_j);

A: When every point's mass is the same, then $\nabla C_j$ is

$$ \nabla C_j = \frac{m}{\rho_0} \sum_j \nabla_{p_jk}W(p_i - p_j, h) $$
