hehe, it happens!
Have you considered the idea of changing the plugin around to move the smushed files, btw? I'm musing for my project(s) that it'd be a good idea to keep the "source files" un-smushed. I'll probably use your task as a base for it, so figured I'd see if you had any interest in it too =)
