It seems that I am running into the same problem, which makes it quite painful to use CodiMD with a lot of LaTeX. (The animated gif shown on hedgedoc/hedgedoc#331 corresponds well to what I observe.)

I played a bit around and found some more issues with inproper MathJax renderings. The table of contents (TOC) has some weird behaviour when there are headings containing LaTeX expressions.
- Open up the minimal example here.
The rendering in the TOC looks fine (enclosed in brackets). - Edit on of the headings by adding a character to the end.
The rendering in the TOC breaks (attributes will be printed, hidden text will be shown).
