As far as I understand it, this is a busy wait loop. What was the VM doing? On my machine it takes several minutes at least to install Windows.

The VM was hung on choosing which edition of Windows to install

The key in vmcloak (33PXH-7Y6KF-2VJC9-XBBR8-HVTHH) is from https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612867(v=ws.11).aspx and it is an Enterprise one. Maybe that's an issue? Have you tried with an actual Ultimate key?

I have same exact issue. windows 7 install x86 with ultimate key. Get's "stuck" choosing install version
--product switch is useless?
