Hi @mglev1n ,

You are correct that the bold font is specified in the .bib files. But I'm not aware of any more specifications other than that. I uploaded the .tex file and you can compare it with yours to see if the format is correctly specified. To save the .tex file, add keep_tex: yes to your header and knit. E.g.,

output:
  vitae::awesomecv:
    pandoc_args: ["--lua-filter=multiple-bibliographies.lua"]
    keep_tex: yes

Hope this helps!
Han

I have the same issue after updating the Pandoc 2.11.1. I could not knit my original file if I don't update the multiple-bibliographies.lua file. After updating, I can knit the CV but all the bold fonts are missing even if I applied {\bf .....} to all locations that I wanted to be bold. I double-checked all the .bib files. They have been properly applied the {\bf .....}. Also, I looked at the final .tex file. The difference is that in your file all the bolded parts starting with something like \textbf{Zhang}, H., Anderson, N. C., \& Miller, K. F. (2020). Refixation . I notice that your multiple-bibliographies.lua file is remain unchanged. I am wondering whether you changed anything else to make it work. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay. I think the reason for cannot knitting the pdf is related to a recent update of pandoc. The update makes it cannot work with the current version of multiple-bibliographies.lua. The latest vitae package has its own lua filter that avoids this problem. You can see some discussions here: (mitchelloharawild/vitae#151)

However, as you said, the lua filter used by the current version of vitae will not render the bold author names. It does appear that this will be a forthcoming feature (mitchelloharawild/vitae#165).

For now, I think the best option is to use a pandoc version of 2.10

FYI, my CV can give some hints. See strong.lua.
