Feature Request: col/row span about handsontable HOT 7 CLOSED

It is possible to do col/row merging in Handsontable, but would require a lot of rewrites and removing some of the current optimizations. Because of how much work it is, I am not planning to do it soon. But I encourage you to try doing it if you need it.

As for colspan copy-paste from Open Office. I have no idea how to do this technically. Google Docs does not support it as well. Normally, Open Office (and other spreadsheets) copy cell data as plain text with tab-separated values. But this text does not contain metadata like row span.

I see. I might have a look at it, I want to rework the table editing plugin for DokuWiki and your script's simplicity comes really close to what I'm looking for. But I will need col/row spans and reordering.

@prabhat007 I hadn't the time to look at this. @adrianlang showed some interest but his time is limited, too. If anyone would have a business case, hiring @adrianlang might be a good idea (of course ask @warpech first).
