i don't this is necessary. it adds a lot of complexity over core and it's not very common.
you can do it instead if you wanted

template op(num): untyped = 
   echo num
   num + 1

1..10 >< imap(op it)

I'm not sure but maybe this would be possible too.

call(echo 1; echo 2) # doesn't work
call((echo 1; echo 2)) # maybe ?!

That would be better than defining a template


UPDATE: (stmt1; stmt2; expr) works


you can do multiline too.
