I'm sorry, but this is not an issue of the application itself, so I need to close it.
Just to be sure, I tested with both my docker compilation toolkit (which effectively emulates a fresh installed ubuntu distribution) and an Ubuntu virtual machine, and no issue were found.
Besides, I'm using cmake standard find_package, so if there is an issue, then it's upstream (cmake).
In my opinion, there's just something out of place in your distribution, or in your toolkit.
You might want to send me some details via email, like what you installed, and the steps you tried to fix your issue.
Anyway, I discourage compiling the application from scratch.

You should used the precompiled packages for your distribution (ubuntu is available, fedora 25 will come soon), and I usually also make devel snapshot when the latest version has interesting features ready to test.
