objects in javascript can have their properties referenced as an associative array, so this would do that

var config = {files:{}};

config.files[thisTheme._name] = '/child_themes/lib/*';

grunt.config( 'copy.' + thisTheme._name, config);

from grunt-contrib-copy.

@brianfeister I'm not sure I follow the question. Could you post an example of what the files object would look like after it was generated?

from grunt-contrib-copy.

Thanks for the followup @tkellen, I just upgraded to grunt 0.4 which given your specs on interacting with how properties are now referenced in the files: [{src: [], dest: []}, ... ] pattern, should fix the issue. Also, thank you to @CactusCommander , because I was working with his solution prior to deciding to upgrade and it also proved helpful. Mainly, I think the new method of declaring files in grunt-contrib-copy for 0.4 is more concise and proved helpful.
