Looking at the source code of httplib.py provided by the installed Python on both setups, I see that source_address exists in the constructor of HTTPSConnection only under Python 2.7.8.

To be more precise, source_address was introduced in Python 2.7 and is
present in all Python 2.7.X versions.

I'd like to mention that this is blocking for the relevant connector of http://github.com/CELAR.
