Thanks, I have added the missing '-'.
I believe you are running the git submodule update --remote command from the wrong directory as there is no components subfolder in grblHAL (there is in the esp frameowrk), or have you managed to mix sources?
The instructions are misleading ,see the wiki for how it should be done.
I'll have to fix the instructions for the driver to match the wiki. I am not sure about the git submodule update --remote command, I'll have to check if it is really required for updates.
