minted
, like most other verbatim content in LaTeX, generally fails if it is in the argument to a command. In your case, you are passing it as an argument to the \blocknode
command. My usually approach to a case like this would be to define an environment instead of the command, or use save the minted
content in a savebox and then use the saved content within the command argument via \usesavebox
. Unfortunately, that's not working here; I expect it has something to do with being inside TikZ.
At the moment, the only thing I can suggest is putting the code in a file by itself, maybe with
\documentclass{article}
\thispagestyle{empty}
Then compile this file and run pdfcrop
on the output. That will give you a PDF that contains only the code. Then you could include this as an image.
You might also try asking a question on http://tex.stackexchange.com/. Since this is probably getting deep into the internal workings of TikZ, beyond my limited knowledge, someone there might have suggestions.
