Typesetting of tilde (C++ destructor) about minted HOT 3 CLOSED

Hi,

you can use a typewriter font which supports it. In the example below I used beramono

\documentclass[a4paper]{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{beramono}
\usepackage{minted}

\begin{document}
\begin{minted}{c++}
#include <class.h>

Class::Class() {
    // construct stuff
}

Class::~Class() {
    // destruct stuff
}
\end{minted}
\end{document}

This is a font-related issue. A similar issue is that dollar signs $ can appear as pound signs £ in italics in some fonts. Using T1 font encodings with an appropriate font is a solution, as marcodaniel has already pointed out (another example is here). I will make sure that in the next release the minted docs explicitly mention these font issues, but I don't believe there is anything more that can be done from the minted side, so I'm closing this issue for now.
