Hey @entigo-mart-erlenheim,

This behavior appears to be related to how the google.golang.org/api/run/v1 library (used by Skaffold for Cloud Run deployments) processes the default value of 0 for int64 types (the type of the MaxRetries property internally) before marshalling the struct. From what I can understand it reads the value 0 and decides not to send the maxRetries field thinking it was not set, which causes the property to have the default value of 3.

I think we can use the ForceSendFields to force the library to send the property when it is specified in the user's job manifest.

We'll take a look at how to adjust this behavior. Thanks!
