Cannot install using Python 3.12 about tensorstore HOT 4 CLOSED

That looks like a different error--it looks like the system openssl is conflicting with the boringssl from bazel.

I suspect that what's happening is that our code to look for python headers finds "/usr/local/include", and adds it to the include list rather than symlinking all the files that are needed.

This is on a mac? How was python 3.12.0 installed?

We still haven't investigated the root cause of the openssl issue, but we do now have Python 3.12 binary wheels on PyPI for macOS, so you can now just install without needing to build, and thereby avoid any build issues.
