An update. I updated cmake to 3.1.0. It gets through a bit more, but results in this error:
CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:138 (set_target_properties):
set_target_properties Can not find target to add properties to:
Threads::Threads

Okay I found that I needed to add this line:
find_package (Threads)
after
project(Box2D)
And it worked.

Not sure why this was closed? I get the same problems on master, as far as I can tell this was closed without committing a fix.

Okay, I created a pull request for this. I also pushed my changes. You can get it here: https://github.com/mobileben/liquidfun
I hadn't actually committed the change/pushed previously since I was just experimenting with stuff and it wasn't too clear to me if the project was actively being maintained since the last commit was back in Sept.
