In prometheus server configuration (i.e. in prometheus.yml), we have a job glusterd2-client that scrapes gluster metrics from the listed gluster endpoints. All our alerts are based on the metrics that we get from this prometheus job.
In case this job is not present (due to faulty configuration) it has to be alerted, to let the admin know about the misconfiguration on server (which is more likely in case of current GCS, due to no explicit way of naming this job), or in case it has been knowingly removed, to inform that metrics are not being scraped as the job that is expected to scrape those metrics does not exist.
