Dr. Tarek Loubani and his team at Glia have done all the legwork in that regard as far as I'm concerned. It has undergone several iterations and is currently in use at LHSC hospital in London, On. after much feedback from doctors. As far as I know, the design has gone through the proper channels and is approved for use. I have doctor friends as well who are using them regularly. They were made to be light, comfortable and quick to print.

A friend is focussed on 3D printing medical face shields to try and help the supply issues in the medical profession. He asked me to try and find out where to send them. I found this website using a google search for Tarek Loubani who I heard on the CBC. I don't understand how to navigate GitHub. I need to find some agency that may be coordinating where to send face shields. Can you send me some info or forward my email to any place that can help? I'm at [email protected]

@Gustoes I suppose it depends on your locality and what hospital you were looking to assist. I imagine each hospital has setup a form or phone number used by individuals looking to donate items or provide assistance. For example, I know Dr. Tarek Loubani works here in London, Ontario at LHSC, and this hospital has setup an online form we use to let them know if we have items we'd like to donate. In the case of LHSC, this URL is as follows:
