i just looked a bit in maps, and for german addresses, states are not used. i cant find an address where the state was set.

can you make sure you are on the latest changes of branch 14.0-dev?
it's working fine on my side using address with or without state

yes its the latest version. But i tried it on another odoo 14 installation and there its working perfectly. i will investigate why this database is throwing the errors. thanks for replying!
btw, can you tell me where to change the address order from "Number+Street" to "Street+Number" In the contact address form its correct, the places addon writes it the wrong way

found it in /web_google_maps/static/src/js/widgets/gplaces_autocomplete.js
if anybody else need to switch that...
