Hi @liuflylove666! A NIC that supports DPDK is required to run the GLB director. It looks like some Broadcom NICs are supported, specifically BCM5730X / BCM574XX / BCM58000 family of Ethernet Network Controllers. Unfortunately it looks like the BCM5720 is not supported right now.

At some point DPDK also added AF_PACKET virtual device support, though I haven't tested this (and I couldn't find documentation on how to use it). That might potentially provide high enough speeds for certain use cases.

@liuflylove666 you can use any NIC or virtual NIC device that DPDK supports. We use virtual pcap-based devices in testing, so there shouldn't be anything Intel specific in the glb-director sources.
