Security-related assessment of this version:
- a fix for a critical vulnerability in
sshd(not really relevant to Git for Windows because that binary, even if distributed with Git for Windows, is not used by default and there is not even any official documentation provided by the project how it should be used). - a fix for a logic error in
sshObscureKeystrokeTiming. This is also not really relevant because Git for Windows usessshnon-interactively, if so configured. Users who do usesshinteractively (which is a use case not guaranteed to be maintained forever because it is not within the project's promises to support Git on Windows) will want the update, though. I hope that the timeline which slates Git for Windows to be released on July 29th or 30th should be good enough.
