It's not possible yet, but I agree that it should be.

How would you like to specify which modules should be scoped to the global window object? Through an options setting like below?

amdclean.clean({
    // The source code you would like to be 'cleaned'
    code: 'define("example", [], function(one, two) {});',
    globalModules: ['example']
})

Or would you like to specify global modules by using a comment, like this:

// amdclean-global
define("example", [], function(one, two) {

});

For my needs - I need it as something like in your first example and it should be available as Grunt option.

Btw, as for now, I managed to get a workable solution with onBuildWrite, but it feels too hacky. Looking forward to have this available as an official option!

You can now expose any of your local modules as global window properties by using the globalModules option.

amdclean.clean({
    // The source code you would like to be 'cleaned'
    code: 'define("example", [], function(one, two) {});',
    // The modules that you would like to set as window properties
    // An array of strings (module names)
    globalModules: ['example']
})
