Hello everyone!👋

My name is Gerlando and I'm a MSc graduate from Politecnico di Milano, 110 with Honours.
🔭 My Master Thesis about Multi-armed bandits in non-stationary environments was selected for the European Conference of Machine Learning 2021 (ECML2021) with a 20% acceptance rate.
💼 I'm currently working at Machine Learning Reply as a Machine Learning Engineer, mainly focusing on GenerativeAI and NLP. Previously i worked in Target Reply as a Data Engineer and Data Scientist, following projects in the fintech field.
📖 My main interests are AI, Machine Learning, Robotics and Software Engineering but I also like many other field of Computer Science. I also love programming and really enjoy doing some programming challenges!

In my free time I study new ML and AI techniques and implement them. Here you can find a little curriculum with some of the projects I've done during the years.

Most used libraries and frameworks: Scikit-learn, Scikit-image, Pandas, Matplotlib, Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch.
What am I currently doing?: I'm studying and mastering novel techniques for Image Segmentation (U-Net with DWT), Object Detection (Fast RCNN, Faster RCNN, YOLOs), NLP (Bert and its variants) also Recommender Systems!
