@soraryu the current version supports such meshes. I've added some images here I got by placing 16 cone points. Support for meshes with quads, holes, handles and multiple components is coming soon :)

"Supports" in the sense of "importing works", yes. But it produces UVs that overlap like crazy:

@soraryu BFF has some support to deal with overlaps. I selected cone points one at a time and changed their angle values (with either the text box or slider) till I got the map with no overlaps below. Now, this isn't the most convenient way of dealing with overlaps and doesn't give the best map in terms of distortion or area scaling, but its a start. We have plans to deal with these overlaps in a more robust and automatic manner in future releases, stay tuned.

Yep, found the cone angle slider as well.
That's why this Issue is titled "doesn't work well" :) And why I thought it might be a nice geometry to add to whatever test data set you're using for evaluating BFF.
