Hi You did run the Mac OS X version on Linux (debian). Try the Linux binary or to install it via Pypi. (See http://gmvault.org/install.html#py_install for more info)

Ohhh. Can I suggest a documentation improvement then:

Has a header called: "Linux and Mac OSX Binary Install"
And "wget https://github.com/downloads/gaubert/gmvault/gmvault-v1.0-beta-MacOSX.tar.gz"
Can I suggest you add
"OR wget https://github.com/downloads/gaubert/gmvault/gmvault-bin-i686-v1.0-beta.tgz"
(and the other options)
Yes, I know the page says "Download and untar the binary tarball for Mac OSX or Linux 32bits or 64bits from the download page.", in which the use of "OR" kinda implies you need to get the right one, but I think I've just demonstrated people can easily skim read or miss any superfluous text.
See, there is a value to idiots like me :-P
