/usr/sbin/gmond[4818]: [PYTHON] Can't call the metric_init function in the python module. about gmond_python_modules HOT 2 CLOSED

You need use gmond -d 1 to get the detailed trace for the issue. I once met with the same error. it turned out that the urllib.urlopen was expecting a proxy setting that it didn't actually need for my setup. i modified elasticsearch.py as follows:
json.load(urllib.urlopen(url, None, 2)) => json.load(urllib.urlopen(url, None, None))
There are three of them.
It fixed the problem.
