There are two things I see here:
The extra
urlpatternsadded to project are conflicting with existing urlpatterns.
In this case, the devrecargar can be put as the last pattern, so it will be match after every other pattern fails.
The library is off no use and there is a replace of it getting merged.
I would we can make it as optional requirement with cookiecutter, so those we really need can use it. About replacement, yes we can get rid of it when the PR is merged, or it can be just part of PR #182

This is removed in #182 with webpack integration. Until that is merged, this can be made optional.
