same problem here, i cant use this package because of this.
i can temporarily fix it by forcing a constant width
SidebarX(
theme: SidebarXTheme(width: 100),
controller: SidebarXController(selectedIndex: 0, extended: true),
items: [
SidebarXItem(icon: Icons.home, label: 'Home'),
